Below are answers to some of the most common questions families ask before their photography session at Babyfaces Photography in Pleasanton, serving the Tri-Valley and surrounding San Francisco Bay Area communities.
When should I book my newborn session? I suggest photographing newborns within the first two weeks to get those sleepy curled up poses. Contact me during your pregnancy to share your estimated due date. Upon booking I will put your due date on my calendar and we will finalize the session date once baby arrives.
Where will the session be? Newborn sessions are done in my home studio located in Pleasanton California. I have a dedicated room heated for babies comfort.
Do I need to bring anything to the newborn session? Studio sessions offer all the backgrounds, prop selection of baskets, bowls, crates, little benches, chairs, wraps, blankets, fur, flowers, knit hats, some tiny outfits, and many many head bands.
How long will it last? Newborn sessions last up to two hours, allowing for posing, set changes, and feedings as necessary.
When will we receive the final images? You will receive a selection gallery three days after your session. Once you select the images for your finals, allow 7 to 10 days for retouching.

What should I wear for my maternity session? Flowing, maxi style dresses help give a lovely feel. Choose something that you love. Color is great, but neutrals work too. Solids stand out better than patterns against the natural background.
Where will the maternity session be? Maternity sessions fluctuate by season and are offered at locations in Pleasanton, Dublin, and Livermore.
How long will the maternity last? Maternity sessions are 1 - 1.25 hours.
Do you offer any discount for multiple sessions? Yes, I offer a One Year Package (baby only) Choose 3 Sessions over One Year - $1000 With Newborn - $1150 Add Family Portraits to Any Session +$150
How long will Milestone Sessions last? Milestone sessions last about 1.25 hours, allowing for outfit changes, set changes, and feedings as necessary. These sessions are playtime for baby.
Where will the milestone sessions be? Milestone sessions are done in my home studio located in Pleasanton or outdoors.
